Mission & goals

The Purchasing Excellence & BP Buyer will be part of the Purchaising department that operates at the corporate level of L’Oréal Italy. This role contributes to the efficiency of the Purchasing department, to the respect of internal control rules, to monitor and coordinate KPI for performance, sustainability, data analytics, budgeting and trend updates, using and mastering corporate tools.

The candidate is clearly stakeholders oriented, creating the conditions for trust and delivering high service level in terms of soft skills, efficiency, innovation and sustainability.

The missions cover all the aspects of the following operations:

  1. Establish and oversee key strategic procurement processes and standards.
  2. Embed new way of working based on current procurement platform, developing tools and resources to raise maturity of Procurement and promote excellence.
  3. Collaborate closely with Global team ensuring continuous process improvement and implementation projects.
  4. Involved in the design to targets, KPIs and measurements to ensure changes are sustained and measured.
  5. Knowledge of the categories market by driving benchmark & RFX to support stakeholders
  6. Deep knowledge of the business needs, expectations, priorities and goals in all categories for the assigned division in order to help and support business
  7. Ability to identify new opportunities to bring tangible value, innovation and competitive advantage for them in cooperation with Sourcing buyers
  8. In total alignment with the Zone Category Directors and Sourcing Buyer, put in place the strategy in the assigned division by monitoring the key levers identified
  9. Help to identify the initiatives, evaluate the savings in agreement with Divisions controllers and fill in the relevant information in the purchasing platforms
  10. Identify risks and opportunities of the current projects or initiatives, in agreement with the division controllers
  11. Drive and coordinate all sustainability initiatives in Purchasing department on local level

Expected skills & experience

  • Expertise in Project & Change Management
  • At least 2/3 years of professional experience in procurement (Marketing Service, Business Service and Retail categories) and/or consulting
  • Analytic expertise to use Office excel at advanced level
  • Agile approach and ability to build strong relationships and consensus.
  • Open mindset and approach business oriented, flexible and curious
  • Strong in stakeholders’ management in a complex, matrix and numerous network to be a connector with the ability to build relationships and influence others
  • High level of economic and finance sensitivity on budget and trends and value-in expectations for the company
  • Strong skills in negotiation and contract management
  • Fluent Italian and strong written and verbal English language skills
