In the department of Discovery Domain, we are looking for a senior scientist. 

As a senior scientist, your main responsibilities are: 
  • Conduct wet-lab experiments on cell biology, tissue culture/engineering, and biochemistry. In particular with hair and scalp biology focus.
  • Engage with external partners and internal early clinical team to conduct translational and epidemiological studies to address hypotheses testing and technology evaluation needs.
  • Employ and leverage bioinformatics capability to generate insights from internal and public domain databases relevant to the topics of interest.
  • Design and execute evaluation plans to enable end-end transformation of breakthrough science to differentiating innovations for products.
  • Contribute to project ideation, planning, coordination, and discussions.
  • Expand and upskill bioscience and bioinformatic capabilities and expertise, with close connection to the global expertise within the group and R&I community.
  • Capture research content in internal reports, as well as publish in peer-reviewed journals or report in public forums such as conferences and symposiums.
  • Contribute to laboratory safety and equipment maintenance activities.

You are : 
  • Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology, or other bioscience related fields, preferably in dermatology-related research topics.
  • Expertise and experience in hair or skin biology with knowledge and skillsets in ex vivo and in vitro models.
  • Strong capacity and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art biochemistry, histology, cell biology, and molecular biology techniques, including ELISA, IF/IHC, FACS, PCR, gene editing, etc.
  • Working knowledge in basic bioinformatics, familiar with common workflow for omics data analyses, basic data governance, and preferably capacity in R, Python, or Julia as analytical tools.
  • Research experience in industry environment, e.g., FMCG, personal care, pharma, or med-tech could be preferred.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals required. Preferably in skin/hair biology, aging research, or epidemiology topics.
