What You Will Do:
L’Oréal is in search of an Amazon expert and data driven decision maker to scale our game changing insights & technology product to other major Amazon markets at L’Oreal. The US Amazon Tech Accelerator product is an advanced analytics capability that L’Oréal has built to support the retail and advertising business combining 50M+ data points to measure all the inputs of the flywheel driving insight to action and enhancing executional excellence. Operating under an agile model, your role as Global Product Owner will be to leverage your Amazon retail knowledge to guide a functional team of analysts, data scientists and engineers with key goal of syndicating the US Business intelligence tool to grow rapidly evolving Amazon markets. You, as our ideal candidate has retail or consumer package goods (CPG) experience managing a commercial business or leading enterprise analytics & strategy for large eCommerce/Amazon businesses, with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed across supply chain, operations, and go-to-market retail strategy. This role requires excellent cross-functional relationship management and the ability to understand and prioritize multiple business questions and use cases at a time. Jointly led by the NYC Tech Accelerator Head and Head of Amazon US center of excellence, this is a highly visible role to senior levels of the organization across the globe and will require strong presentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers and synthesizes business needs and aligns requirements across global markets to establish a common vision of the product across internal/external stakeholders, business units, brands and senior leadership
- Collaborates with business stakeholders on product adoption of capabilities and prioritization of releases
- Ability to partner with internal and external groups to drive and to measure user adoption of these best-in-class tools
- Owns the operations, ROI measurement and reporting to all stakeholders and senior leadership on global markets success with the product
- Contributes to change management, education and thought leadership around the product within multiple business groups and markets across Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific
- Evangelize platform and build engagement among brands and cross-functional stakeholders to define key current and desired use cases
- Collaborate with US tech team and global business resources to build and adapt features which will increase usability and measurable business impact
- Oversee global product budget needs, forecast and gain approval for intermediary projects required to execute market specific enhancements
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years of progressive experience managing high volume business-to-consumer eCommerce commercial execution and or analytics & strategy management or retail product management for the same
- Bachelor’s degree and interest in the beauty industry
- Strong eCommerce CPG/Retail background and thorough understanding of how to answer business questions/challenges through data with clear sense of the value added
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication/presentation skills; ability to influence at the most senior levels
- Strong bias for action and seeing things through to completion and business application
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a rigorous timeline
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Passion for fast moving transformation roles; passion for making concrete business impacts
- Demonstrated experience with running complex projects across a matrixed organization
- Budget management, project management, vendor management
- Ability to execute in the short term while looking around corners to design for the future.
- Travel within NA, Western Europe and eventually APAC (India, Australia, Japan), approx. 5-6 times a year
